Stephanie Czerny

I am looking forward to this years kinneret. I come from Kreuth, near Munich, Germany and work for the german Media Company Hubert Burda Media.

Stephanie Czerny studied political science and communications at the Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich. Furthermore she earns a degree as in journalism at the German School of Journalism. She started her career as a researcher in international maritime law for the Science and Politics Foundation (Institute for International Affairs). In 1995 she joined the Hubert Burda Media group and held several executive posts in new media activities. In 1998 she moved over to the office of Dr. Hubert Burda, assuming the position of corporate strategy director. In 2004 she became Managing Director of Hubert Burda Media Marketing & Communications GmbH. Mrs Czerny focuses on developing branding and communication initiatives such as the Burda Brand Club and "Connect the Unexpected." In addition she holds various executive positions in cultural and environmental organizations. This year e.g. she organizes for the second time "Digital Lifestyle Day" (www.dld06.com). On DLD06 - chaired by Dr. Hubert Burda and Dr. Joseph Vardi - a select group of 300 movers, thinkers and innovators from media, digital, brands, arts and sciences will meet to discover and discuss the connected worlds, the digital consumer and Europe's role in innovation. The gathering will feature panels exchanges and interactive presentations as well as interview discussions and key note addresses from leading technology pioneers and digeratis. Mrs Czerny is married and the mother of four children.
