Jordan Lewinski

Hi, My name is Jordan Lewinski. I’m a psychiatrist, working in Tel Hashomer hospital. (you can relax now, we have a medical doctor on site).

During the mid 90’ I started working in Israel On Line, Haaretz subsidiary and as many internet people know, being in the right place at the right time is like doing half the work. As the time passed, I became Director of Research, specializing in internet trends, product development and technological analysis.

When IOL merged with Walla at early 2000, I joined Zoe Interactive content, where I was involved with developing a content/technological solution for Ofek, a company that was supposed to use LMDS technology to rival Bezek telephony domination.

As it turned out, after burning severl dozens millions of dollars, the dream of a new competition to bezek disapeared. As Head of Development, I started working on Interactive Television, designing and developing solutions for Tevel, Arutzey Zahav, YES and foreign companies.

But all this was just a student job. At 2002 I finished my exams, and started working in Tel Hasomer.

The fun part is also quite known. In 1998, When I was bored with work, I stared a little project named “The Thinking project” that featured a monthly theme and displayed work arts. It lasted six months, and in 1999 it became Concept Magazine, Israel’s only weekly magazine covering net culture, digital society, art and design. Last May we formed a new site, Notes personal publishing system, based on a home developed CMS, that enables a select group people to establish a permanent position on the web.

i'm interested in digital society, the effect of technology on human behaviour and ethical decisions.
