In my previous life, I've spent fascinating 8 years at SmarTeam (subsidiary of Dassault Systems), 3 of them as VP of R&D, doing collaborative web PLM, PDM, SOA and other enterprise TLAs.

Back in 1995 I enjoyed developing a now-long-gone web development framework for the now-almost-gone Delphi, with several cool applications on top of it. There was one application we didn't create back then - "ecommerce? online catalog? huh? boring." Oh well.

In between, I've spent 4 years developing rather-cool GIS stuff, probably responsible for some of the minor permanent damage. And before that, memories fade away, but I seem to recall MF COBOL code generation, telephony applications and who knows what. Go figure.
